This project will provide congestion relief, safety, and accessibility improvements to the signalized intersections on College Way and Riverside Drive. It includes construction of yellow flashing left turn signals, LED street light upgrades, American with Disability Act (ADA) upgrades including curb ramps, push button and countdown pedestrian signals at twelve intersections on College Way (Freeway Drive - Waugh Road) and Riverside Drive (Pacific Avenue - Fir Street).
Funding for this project is through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
Project Status: The City is working with Transportation Solutions of Redmond, WA. Bids were opened on June 11, 2019, and are currently under review. The apparent low bid was Colacurcio Brothers of Blaine, WA in the amount of $1,449,514.00.
Other Bids were: Trinity Contractors $1,510,116.00; and Granite Construction $1,557,035.00.
